I met Joanna in a class called Nutrition and the Environment when she took notes on her laptop in class and offered them to whomever wanted them. I was so impressed with her free giving spirit and effervescent personality that we became fast friends. I love that we have so much in common, and yet are so different that we compliment each other beautifully in our practice.
I got into this holistic way of life when the standard way of living just wasn’t working for me, anymore. Not being able to breathe after using chemical ladened toiletries; walking past the perfume counters at the department store and not being able to breathe… waking up in the spring and not being able to breathe again until November… What was wrong with me? Breathing wasn’t my only concern… migraines, premenstrual outbursts, irritable bowel, and well, just generally feeling crappy. To take more fuel away from my fire, I was (and still am) taking care of my mother with Alzheimer’s, and I was sooooo very tired.
After practically being fired as a flight attendant for reaching absenteeism level 5, a serendipitous event happened in my life and changed it. I discovered BIE! It was my good fortune to meet the developer of this amazing technology, and when he asked if I wanted to try it I jumped at the chance.
It was all about amino acids for me. I wasn’t absorbing them! No wonder I was so tired all the time. The day after my first BIE session I started to notice a difference. I was giddy for a week; I had so much energy! Session after session, more of my issues started being resolved and the rest (as they say) is history. I convinced Joanna that this was our future… and THE future of healing… and we’ve committed ourselves to working with those who are ready to try a safe, pain-free alternative. Healing CAN be effortless, and who wouldn’t want to experience that.

Joanna studied at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition where she graduated as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner with first class honours. In a clinical setting, she specializes is children’s health and women’s health issues.
Having kids was the beginning of my adventures into the health and wellness world. I had never truly questioned health until I had a child, and it was then that I began to question everything! It all started over a vaccine debate with my doctor, who asked me if I wanted my daughter to have an “optional” vaccine that was not part of her regular vaccine schedule. I decided to decline after doing some research, to which he replied that he would report me to the authorities because I was a young mom and he didn’t feel that I was able to make a qualified decision. WHOA! I don’t know if it was the Leo Lion in me, or the mama bear part of me, but I was determined to know more than that doctor about health. So my journey began. I researched like a mad woman and became empowered about health and what it means to be healthy.
Fast forward 7 years and I discovered that there is an amazing school you can go to that will teach you all about natural health and healing. I could become a legit practitioner! It was an “ah ha” moment for me and so I enrolled in The Institute of Holistic Nutrition. Never in my wildest dreams could I have anticipated what that journey would bring to my life. I went in with hopes of just adding whatever I could to my knowledge base in order to help others with their health, but I ended up with so much more!
I was so fortunate to meet and become instant friends with my beauty of a business partner-Irene! She is beyond smart and her ability to research products, ideas, practices, etc, is second to none, so when she told me “We are doing BIE when we graduate” I didn’t even question it. Turns out, doing BIE has been life changing for my health. I’ve struggled with hormonal issues for so long that when I started to notice dramatic changes after only 2 BIE sessions, I knew, instantly that Irene was right and this was absolutely going to be part of our journey. I am so excited and beyond blessed to be able to share BIE with the world!
We welcome our new practitioner...

Melissa is an Emotional Eating Coach, Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Bioenergetic Practitioner
Melissa has battled with disordered eating habits and chronic dieting most of her life. As a result, she suffered from many digestive imbalances, fatigue, weight fluctuations, emotional ups and downs, acne and hormonal trouble.
Her journey to a healthy lifestyle began once she started exploring alternative health modalities and wellness treatments to help heal her body naturally. Melissa's personal healing transformation inspired her to dedicate her life to helping others struggling to overcome similar issues. She believes that everyone has to experience their own personal journey to a healthy lifestyle and that this can only be achieved by addressing both the emotional as well as the physical aspects of an individual's overall well-being. Melissa explains, "The ongoing obstacles that people face day-to-day with diet are often not only about food choices, but also, about why we choose to eat certain foods. The feelings derived from food, and the attachment we have to food, is a complex relationship that can make developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle more difficult to conquer on your own."
Melissa studied Nutrition at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Mississauga, Ontario, and Bioenergetics at the The Institute of Natural Health Technologies in Oakville, Ontario. Prior to entering the field of nutrition, she completed a Bachelor degree in Psychology from the University of Carleton in Ottawa, Ontario.
Melissa specializes in combining lifestyle strategies, proper nutrition and emotional eating guidance with non-invasive bioenergetic therapies to create balance in the body. Once the body is back to equilibrium, it can begin to heal itself naturally.
